This linear walk is tougher than it might appear. The Rhinogs have a reputation that is well deserved. Once Rhinog Fawr and Rhinog Fach have been conquered things get a little easier. The views of Snowdonia, the Llyn peninsula and Cardigan Bay are excellent. The final descent down the old coach road towards Bontddu is a gentle finish with superb views of Cadair Idris. Watch out for the old milestone towards the end of the track. One small reservation about the walk is the time taken to get the cars into position and retrieve them at the end.
