The tour starts from the Baratti bay. The trail climbs to the top of the Promontorio than goes down to the Fosso alle Canne with a technical single track. From there it's going back up to the "Passeggiata Botanica" where there are nice panoramas over the Elba, Capraia and Corsica Island. The "Passeggiata" ends at Cala Moresca. Little rest at a nice bar, than back up again following the "Via del Promontorio" to get back to the starting point. As the trail reaches the Monastero di San Quirico starts another single track that goes down to Cala San Quirico to reach the famous "Buca delle Fate". From there following a trail going around the Acropoli di Populonia the tour ends at the starting point.

Volevo aggiornare la praticabilità del sentiero al mese di maggio 2017 che da Buca delle fate ritorna a Baratti, Via dei Cvalleggeri sentiero 302 non è percorribile causa frana

Non ci sono. Da Buca delle Fate devi tornare al parcheggio risalendo il sentiero. Poi torni a Baratti via asfalto.
Ciao,il sentiero è stato ripristinato? Ci sono attualmente sentieri non percorribili nel promontorio?Grazie
Non ci sono più passato ma mi confermano che hanno aperto una variante che passa più alta rispetto alla frana.

Due punti critici, uno in discesa di circa 150 metri e uno in salita dove si spinge 20 metri. Una passina che scavalca la recinzione alla fine, ma nulla di impossibile. In cambio....scenario mozzafiato, single Track fantastici, possibilita anche di fare il bagno o di ristorarsi a metá giro. Unico appunto....una piccola variante che ti porta sotto un capanno di caccia per poi tornare indietro, ma si sá...i giri non sono tutti strutturati per essere anelli perfetti. Nel complesso...gran bel giro e gran bel posto e grazie a wikiloc me lo sono goduto alla grande🤙🤙🤙.
We tried the route today and definitely is a difficult route. Lots of rocks and steep climbs make it hard. Too bad that the route sometimes felt like a hike because there was no way we could cycle at some points. We shortened the route and that made it doable on this hot day :) oh and one more thing, it would be great if there were signs that would tell you where to go. We had to search for the right way at multiple points.
