There are many well arranged hiking trails in hatta starting from Hatta wadi hub. They are different color codded according to the difficulty level such as Greean, Blue, Red and Black. Green is the easiest while black seems the toughest.
The trail we did is a mix of Green and Blue.First half of the trail is easy walk (Green) and the rest is picking up the elevation (Blue) where the Hatta signboard is coming in.
You can reach hatta signboard easily with much shorter path. But we wanted to do a 7-8km hike so we did as it is. It's relatively an easy hike but some areas need to be very careful with lose rocks and edges.

Hi Kim... Kindly search "Hatta Wadi Hub" in the Google map.. you will reach the hub where plenty of parking is available for the hikers / mtb riders etc.. Park your car and walk to the main entrance area where you can see the direction of Hiking.. Enjoy and have a safe Hike 👍

You are most welcome.
As i explained in the description, the trail is a mix of Green and Blue. For sure green trail area is dog friendly and flat. Blue is also okay, it's just picking some more elevation than green... however at some areas just to be careful cz of lose rocks and some edges. I would say, 90% of trail is okay with dog. And you have proper well laid trail path also.. So it will be okay.. Go ahead.. Enjoy and have a Safe Hike..👍

You can carry the dog if he cant do it.. I didnt had a dog with me so that i cannot say how its gonna be.. But its doable... Its not that challenging..
You will get details about all the trails in the entrance itself. There is an information board which shows all the routs, length and its difficulty level. Also there are way points on the trails if you want to switch from one to another..

Hello there..
Indeed It is safe hike for solo.. the trail is nearby the Hatta wadi hub and you are passing through the dam area, some peaks next to the city, nearby the signboard and also near to the mountain bike trail.. it's not far.. you are not going out of the neighborhood.. also as I mentioned in the description, well laid trail path is available..
You may also see other hikers also along the route.. so nothing to worry.. just have enough water (2L) and snacks.. also keep hiking poles if you require support while descenting.. However it's relatively easy...

Hi Muhasin. I read your description but I wanted to know if the trail you took had a high elevation to take nice photos of the Hatta Dam? Or would I need to take another trail for better scenery of the Hatta Dam?

Hello khourymichelene,
I assume you are referring the "Hatta Dam". This trail is actually far from that one. If you look the wikiloc map you can see it. If you want to get the best view of it, i believe you have to use a Drone, or may be you have to do some "exploration hike" on the mountains around it.
But you will pass though another dam in this trail, which is "Al Maktoum Dam"
