I have been Fortunate to be acquainted with some Ace Hikers of the region with vast experience.
Follow this Trail Only with Experienced Hikers with Full preparations.
A few weeks ago, we had been in Shah area on an exploration hike with Adventure Extreme group on a Special occasion hike and the Hike was improvised to include a 1500+ meters Peak as the new Summit ( as usual !!)
We have named this Peak which Technically sits on UAE-Oman borderline and that has a borderstone installed as ABS B'day Summit.
Out of the whole group, only 9 attempted this new Challenge from Wadi Shah Peak, and due to high Pace and limited time only 5 could summit and we guys reached 200 meters below the Peak.
To complete that Challenge in the same season, I requested one of the Finishers Abdul Rehman to assist and guide a small group to Summit this Peak.
So we planned Wadi Shah Loop which is pretty much standard trail, but we upgraded it to include this Peak and along with it Challenging Steep loose rocks ascent / descent and massive rocks on the Mountain and enjoy excellent views of Jais mountain range from 1550 meters elevation.
I had never hiked wadi shah Loop, and my first ever Wadi Shah Loop became a High elevation gain and additional tall mountain summit included !!
We started from Wadi Shah into the Wadi towards Farms and abandoned villages, then climbed the new high Summit, descended into Wadi Shah Peak, Musaibat village, Steep donkey trail via Murad water spring and finally reaching Wadi Shah as a loop.
The most challenging section is the Additional Peak section.
This Trail is pretty much Wadi Shah loop but also includes the additional Peak, which can be termed as close to Difficult grade depending on fitness of the Hikers and other factors.
