DO NOT TRY ANY MOUNTAIN HIKES IF YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE MOUNTAIN TERRAINS, DANGERS FROM WILDLIFE, FIRST AID, HYDRATION AND SNACKS, YOUR OWN FITNESS, REMOTE ACTIVITY PREPARATIONS, COMMUNICATION TOOLS, MOUNTAIN GEOGRAPHY, TOPOGRAPHY, RISK FACTORS, HSE REQUIREMENTS, HIKING RISKS, FITNESS LEVEL OF THE GROUP MEMBERS.
STUDY ALL ABOVE MATTERS WELL BEFORE FOLLOWING ANY TRAILS THAT YOU FIND ONLINE. PLEASE DO NOT OVER ESTIMATE YOURSELF.
BETTER BE SAFE THAN PUT YOURSELF / GROUP IN DANGER AND REGRET LATER.
Wish you All the best.
Wikiloc, Only for Reference. There can be errors on the GPS recording due to GPS Jumping in the Wadi / Mountain Sections.
I have been Fortunate to be acquainted with some Ace Hikers of the region with vast experience.
We 4 friends Abhijeet, Suresh, Rakesh and myself attempted this hike to connect Wadi Bih to Wadi Ghail via Hebs village, Jebel Qadah, SPAR mountain Pass, Leopard Canyon trail and to Wadi Ghail to Wadi Sal.
this is one way Trail and it was pure exploration.
There are very few shaded areas for rest in shelter, so be prepared with hydrations etc.
The hike till 2nd village of Hebs was manageable, but the Steep descent at SPAR mountain pass to the Leopard Canyon Trail / Wadi Ghail / Sal was very demanding considering the Steep descent through loose rocks and the Gradient.
It can be difficult for certain hikers with limitations.
There is NO Technical hiking in this trail. No ropes needed. You should be sure footed and confident in your mission.
This section should be climbed down with discretion and consideration of additional time allowance.
I plan to climb up this section which would be easy as a different trail in future.
I graded this trail as difficult only for the SPAR Mountain pass with very steep descent.
For experienced hikers this can be Intermediate.
